REY

Rey

The daughter of King Hrothgar, Lord of the eastern lands of Eru Dar. Raised as royalty, she and her sister studied the art of the sword and learned the most tactical uses for Balance magic.

As part of her training, she was sent to be a spy and gather intel on the Venarax armies. Having stolen important documents that depicted a Venarax invasion on a helpless village, she aimed to return to Eru Dar and inform her father to stop this attack.

However, she was intercepted by Reese, a Venarax recruit. Playing along and not wanting to fight or kill him, Rey faked an alliance with Reese. The same night, Rey tried to escape, but Reese caught her in the woods.

With Rey’s facade exposed, she tried to flee from Reese, but he attacked her. Rey defended herself and tried to plea with Reese, but when he hurled a wall of fire at her she snapped, acting on insctinct to repel the blast and protect herself.

Doing so incinerated Reese, killing him nearly instantly. Ashamed of herself, Rey fled back to Eru Dar and told her father about the invasion. When they came to the location, however, it was too late. The Venarax found Reese’s body and chose to attack early.

Rey was horrified to see burnt bodies and destroyed homes. She vowed to put an end to the evil Venarax once and for all. Returning home, Rey, Yura, and Hrothgar planned their next attack.

As they plotted, they were informed by Akaros, a general, that one of their vaults had been raided. An investigation revealed that Vintar, one of their soldiers, was the thief. Shame was brought upon Vintar, he was stripped of his title, and what he stole was taken back.

In an act of mercy, Hrothgar declared that Vintar would be exiled. Furious with this, Vintar tried to attack Hrothgar. Vintar’s left ear was cut in half during the attempt, and he was quickly detained and imprisoned where he was left to desperately crave his freedom.

Driven mad by his desire to steal artifacts and gain power, Vintar escaped into the underground catacombs. He fled through hidden paths and then found an ancient tome — the forbidden tome of Sayore.

Opening the book caused spikes to impale Vintar’s fingers, but after agonizing pain Vintar found his fingers and ear healing. He checked his ear and saw his blood now shining purple as it twisted and reformed his lost flesh.

Obsessed with the tome and his newfound power, Vintar fled the catacombs, killing two guards on his way out. He hid in ruins and learned the myths of Sayore and how he promised power to this followers. Vintar planned to take over Eru Dar and rule it as his own.

Shortly after, Hrothgar, Rey, and Yura were informed about demonic attacks on their kingdom. Akaros and Kryten were tasked with stopping these attacks and gaining intel on the Void, but neither of them returned. And then, the Kingdom shook…

Sayore, the twisted archdemon himself attacked the land and led a horde of demons. Vintar was at the frontlines, using his new corrupted powers to strike down others, turning them into more demons as the vile onslaught continued.

Rey, Hrothgar, and Yura fought valiantly, but were forced to retreat as Eru Dar collapsed. Gathering who they could, they breached a dam and flooded the side of the kingdom, creating a diversion long enough for them to leave without being followed.

Quickly choosing shrouded forests, Rey and the others raced away, still fearing another attack, and Vintar embraced the destruction as he stood next to the vile archdemon Sayore…
