THE CYLOPS & THE SAVIOR
Adrael
Adrael watches over the Golden Kingdom of Mivera. She is second in command to Ragnar and Kothys, powerful archangels.
Together, they protect the heavenly realm of Koriotrem and its gate to the afterlife from the mortal world below.
Adrael spent centuries imprisoning and punishing souls within the afterlife of evil souls, Koh Atha.
There, the souls would be subject to the Final Mists, an irreversable process where the soul is deconstructed and destroyed before its parts are cast back into the mortal world as a cosmic flow of resurrection and rebirth.
Ragnar is the overseer of the angels, and his choice is final within their glorious kingdom.
After seeing the raw power of Taharos in his fight against the draconic hordes of Mok Ghul, Adrael is both impressed and in fear of his will, resolve, and strength. Seeing that a mere mortal could accomplish what he could was outstanding.
Throughout the constant battles she watched Taharos fight in, she guided the souls of dragons and cyclopes alike into their afterlives, helping them to move on to their next stage of existence.
As tensions grew and more souls told Adrael and the angels of demonic attacks in the mortal realm, the angelic legion worked to protect people and stun the emergence of the Void’s forces.
At the heart of the gateway to Koriotrem stood a gargantuan pillar. A shining, eternal golden stone of pure Order magic was held at its center — the Heart of Mivera. And this artifact is what Ragnar and the angels fought so desperately to protect.
As the angels observed the mortal world, Adrael was shocked to see a great fight between Taharos and the dragon Seiku end with Taharos’ death. Even worse, the land of Mok Ghul was cursed with a ritual that killed all living cyclopes.
This mass extinction led to the afterlives needing more attention, weakening the angelic forces.
But Adrael plotted, and came up with her own plan…
Adrael planned to harness the power of Taharos and use him as a weapon against the Void. The gates to Koriotrem would be opened, and the souls of the world’s strongest warriors would reign down upon the demons and destroy them.
Her plan was absolutely insane, but it had to be their greatest weapon and best chance of obliterating the enemy once and for all.
Adrael brought this plan to Ragnar, but the archangel rebuked her. He told her that opening the gates of Koriotrem would leave the entirety of creation and the afterlife vulnerable to the demons.
If the realms of the dead were to collapse, then every point in all of existence would become corrupted. This was not even an option to Ragnar.
The Archangel also told Adrael that it was too late for Taharos. His soul had been sent to the hellish realm of Koh Atha, where he awaited the Final Mists.
Adrael pleaded with Ragnar to at least free Taharos’ soul and use him to fight the hordes of demons, but Ragnar forbade it. The risk of his soul being possessed by the Void and returned to Koh Atha was too great of a risk to take. The demons were too strong of a force.
Unwilling to accept Ragnar’s final words, Adrael tried to flee to Koh Atha herself to rescue Taharos, but she was struck by Ragnar. Striking her with lightning bolt after lightning bolt, Ragnar fought to detain the unruly Adrael, but Adrael fought back.
Striking Ragnar with her own lightning and repelling his attacks back onto him, Adrael injures both herself and the archangel. Kothys joins Adrael’s side, and together they subdue Ragnar, binding him in a prison of runes.
Kothys told Adrael that he trusted her, and he tells her to go.
As Adrael soars off to rescue Taharos, Ragnar struggles to free himself. Kothys stays behind to reinforce the barriers, keeping Ragnar stuck in place and unable to free himself.
Breaching the barriers of Koh Atha set by Ragnar himself, Adrael’s body started to catch fire.
She was now a tresspasser to this land, but she would risk everything to bring back the spirit of the great Dragon Slayer.
Fighting through the agonizing pain, Adrael flew through the sky like a bolt of lightning, determined to rescue what could be her greatest ally…
