VUHL NARRAK
Zaya stood with Narrak to comfort him. As they spent time together, a romance formed between them. Narrak eventually branched out to other areas to explore the lands. While he did, he learned of the Great Wars. While he investigated, a human was potted watching Narrak and the other Vuhl. Narrak prepared to fight, but rather than ruthlessly fight, the human pleads and asks for help.
Narrak asked the man to hold out his hand. As he did, Narrak touched the man’s hand and scanned his mind. As he looked into the man’s memories, he found out that the man’s name was Kasheem, and that he wanted to protect his family from the threats of war.
Narrak saw the noble intentions from Kasheem and decided to help him.
They returned to Kasheem’s home, and there Narrak saw the man’s small house and village.
Kasheem introduced Narrak to his freightened and reluctant family. Narrak carefully asked them if he could share something with them, and one by one he touched their hands. Each of them saw Narrak’s memories, and they understood his life and desire to help them.
The family agreed to help Narrak and they formed an alliance. They traveled through the village and told the people there how Narrak was a new ally to them. One of the villagers was afraid, and Narrak spoke to him to calm him down. His words were slow, kind, and carefully, which eased the villager’s fearful mind.
Together with the villagers, Narrak forged Elotahn steel — the strongest element from his world — and gifted it to the people of the village in an act of peace. The people would use this metal to protect others and themselves as they worked to diffuse the ongoing war.
They worked together and saved many people. Even a group of former cultists who were led to believe that the Vuhl were demons had become allies with them. However, one of the cultists had become Narrak’s greatest opponent yet. Mendorek, a man obsessed with power, had stolen great amounts of Elotahn Steel and planned to conquer the lands with the great element.
Forced to face off against him, Narrak fought Mendorek. Clever in his plan of assault, Mendorek held many innocent people captive. This prevented Narrak from using another detonation or tapping into his large scale magic. He couldn’t, for if he did he would certainly kill the innocent people. Narrak pivoted to a close quarters combat style and struck Mendorek as both of them went blow for blow.
Narrak was greatly wounded in the battle, and Mendorek reveled in his preconceived victory.
However, Narrak had used his magic on his own body to heal himself and regenerate. As Mendorek turned to face Narrak, the Vuhl stabbed the tyrant of a man and took his life.
With Mendorek dead, Narrak set the hostages free.
The innocent people chose to follow him, and Narrak’s alliance grew even more as people honored him and proclaimed him to be a hero.
The other Vuhl saw this and honored Narrak by giving him the title of “Vuhl”, which in their language meant “Leader”.
With Zaya by his side, Vuhl Narrak became the ruler of New Alcanar and continued his journey to unite the lands and protect the innocent people among them.
Their adventures would lead them to find an archaic Zenthic Temple and the legendary divine shard of creation, but that is a story for another day…
